Heather Spirit was inspired by the slender, twisting stems of heather found across the Scottish landscape.
Rather than placing a large gemstone at the centre, I formed the silver itself into the main feature of the necklace. The open shape curves like a stem growing freely, with a small round amethyst adding the colour of a heather bloom.
The polished silver catches the light as the necklace moves, while the unusual shape makes it instantly recognisable. It is light enough to wear regularly but distinctive enough not to disappear into an outfit.
I made this necklace by hand from recycled silver in my Liverpool workshop. There is only one available.
