Labradorite Necklace in Sterling Silver
A handmade sterling silver labradorite necklace with a large oval stone full of shifting blue and multi flash colours.
This pendant has that old, weathered magic labradorite does so well: dark at first glance, then suddenly lit from within. The simple silver setting lets the stone take centre stage, giving the necklace a strong, moody feel without being overworked.
Labradorite is traditionally associated with protection, intuition and transformation. It is often chosen by people who feel drawn to change, mystery and inner strength. It will give this strength during periods of change.
It is said that ancient people thought the Northern Lights were trapped in the rocky coastline of Canada, only to be released by a warrior who broke the rocks with a spear. The only rocks that still hold the Northern Lights were the ones that were not broken by the warrior.
Provenance: Labradorite was discovered in Labrador, Canada in the 1770’s.
