A handmade silver heart necklace set with an amazonite and quartz doublet.
The Amazonite has turquoise tones that remind me of shimmering seas in the sun. A layer of rose cut quartz sits over the amazonite, adding depth to the stone and catching the light as the pendant moves.
It was highly revered by the ancient Egyptians, being one of the precious gemstones of that period. They thought it connected the gods to the living, and is known to have been found in Tutankhamen’s tomb. They also believed it to hold protective and healing properties.
I made the pendant from recycled silver, with a simple handmade fine silver bezel that follows the shape of the heart. It is a lovely silver gemstone necklace to wear every day, either on its own or layered with other chains.
Each piece is made by me in my Liverpool workshop and arrives ready for gifting in Silver Thistle Workshop packaging.
