When I was making this necklace, the rich orange and red tones of the carnelian reminded me of winter evenings at my mum's house. I can still picture sitting in front of the fire, the warmth of the flames and feeling completely at home.
That memory became the starting point for this design. The warmth of the carnelian reflects the glow of the fire, while the circular pendant represents the comfort, love and protection I always felt there.
